This is especially thrilling as visitors can catch an up close glimpse of their favourite disc jockeys in action in the Radio Studios.
Other places of interest that are scheduled on the tour includes the Media Library, where over 60 000 CDs are stored, the Technical Museum, where visitors can look at the fascinating history of television and radio in South Africa, and of course the Television Production Studios where many popular game shows and soapies are pre-recorded. One of the favourite areas on a tour of the SABC is the Mock Studio where guests get the wonderful privilege of presenting a show in a simulated, but professional setting.

Get to watch a Live Recording of a popular TV programme!
The SABC complex is a treasure trove of exciting places for visitors - both those visiting for the first time and those who return for subsequent visits. Guests are given an overview of the corporation’s activities by being allowed into most of the areas of operation.

These include the Radio Studios where you can see your favourite presenters in action, The Media Library where there are approximately 60,000 Compact Discs in storage, The Technical Museum where visitors learn more about the introduction of radio and television in South Africa as well as a Mock Studio where visitors may get an opportunity to present in a simulated studio environment. Visitors also gain access to the Television Production Studio where dramas, game shows and South Africa’s most popular soap-operas are pre-recorded, The Décor Bay where production sets are stored and The News Studio where visitors will get a behind-the-scenes view of the workings of the News Division.
